A Proposed International Dinghy Sailing Regatta
In Corfu Greece To: THE DINGHY SAILING MEMBERS A Wonderful Mediterranean Family Holiday Whilst Enjoying Your Sport  Corfu – Greece Greek Sailing Holidays, based in North East Corfu, is currently researching Sailing Clubs to ask the views of dinghy sailing members to a proposed new International holiday dinghy sailing Regatta, entering with your own boat.
It is anticipated to hold a two-week, multi-class Regatta, with fleet starts at the holiday resort of Kassiopi, Corfu, Greece. The sea area around Kassiopi offers perfect sailing conditions, with almost Caribbean quality warm crystal clear sea, and good sailing winds. Sun drenched Kassiopi is a pretty ex - fishing village, which has been visited by thousands of tourist over the years.  Corfu is on the doorstep of mainland Europe, being short ferry journeys from Venice, Ancona, or Brindisi, Italy.
The Regatta would take the form of one race per day, leaving plenty of time for competitors and their families to explore and enjoy many of the attractions Corfu has to offer, or just to relax and sunbath on one of the fantastic uncrowded beaches. A Mayoral reception dance, prize giving evenings, Greek cultural events and of course, Greek Tavernas cooking delicious, authentic cuisine. Subject to sufficient interest and response, it is planned to start on dates to be chosen and to continue as an annual event, with trophy and small cash prizes, to the fleet winners and first three places. There is a wide choice of accommodation ranging from basic studios, apartments and luxury villas, a website will be developed for this. The Regatta would be co-ordinated by Greek Sailing Holidays in co-operation with the Local Municipality and Sailing Authorities.
