| January |
Cold and rainy. Generally averaging about 10°C with only 6 hour's of sunshine per day. January is the coldest month of the year. There may also be a short period "Halcyon Days" where the weather changes and pretends to be an early spring (approx 15°C) |
| February |
Usually warmer by about 2°C and sunnier, and strangely wetter than January. The first trees begin to bloom. |
| March |
Much the same type of weather as February, cold and windy but a little bit warmer. There are a few extra sunny days too. |
| April |
Spring time in Corfu with temperatures go up, more hour's of sun and the number of days of rainfall drop to about 6 over the month. The island is full of wild flowers and your can see the boom of life all around. It is truly a special time (many years ago this was the start of the tourist season). |
| May |
Warm and sunny with the temperature around 22°C and about 8-10 hours of sunshine per day. The chance of rain after the 1st week is unlikely. The "Meltemi", seasonal North winds have not yet started. May is considered the best month for out-of-door activities such as walking. A jacket is recommended for the night. |
| June |
Sunny and hot. An average temperature in the mid to high 20's (aka +25°C). You may get 2-3 days of rain over the month but this clears up within a few hours, and it's back to the beach! I think it is just God's was of keeping the island Green. |
| July and August |
Very hot averaging about 30°C, and about 11 hour's of sunshine per day. *WARNING* avoid the midday sun and keep in a shady place. I suggest you should drink plenty of water and use a minimum SPF 16+ sunscreen. |
| September |
First part of September seems to be more like June temperature wise progressing towards May but still Sunny. Again as in May it's good for outdoors activities. Bring a light jacket for the night. Pool $amp; sea temperatures warm after hot summer. |
| October |
A bit unpredictable, Good for outdoors activities. Warm clothes are recommended at night, and bring water proof's. Temperature's drop to about the low 20's (aka 21°C) and after the first rain's the weather does not seem to recover too well but the air feels fresh and clean. You should expect a few days' of rain. Trips to Corfu Town and sight seeing is a highly recommended during this period. Expect peace and quiet all round. |
| November |
Again the temperature drops to about 18°C, and you are getting about 5-6 hours of sunshine per day. Expect plenty of rainy and windy days. Not much to do as the main tourist season has ended and everybody winds down for the long winter ahead. |
December

Expect the maximum number of rainy days but also expect the number of hours of sunshine to increase from November's weather. Averaging about 13°C, the weather can span anywhere from 18°C (13th Dec 2003) to 8°C in a matter of 5 days. One thing is sure and that is pack warm and cold clothes. |
